Welcome to Greg Rogers Elementary – Home of the Pirates!

Ahoy and welcome to the Rogers Elementary website! My name is Andy Falconer, and I’m honored to serve as the proud principal of this incredible school community. At Rogers, we are united in our mission to nurture the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally. We believe that when students are seen, supported, and celebrated, they can accomplish extraordinary things. That’s why we live by the motto: Many Pirates, One Crew.

Our school culture is built around three core values:

Be Safe. Be Respectful. Be Responsible.

These expectations anchor our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework and guide everything we do—from how we treat one another on the playground to how we persist through challenges in the classroom.

As a former special education teacher and district MTSS coordinator, I bring a deep belief in inclusive practices, equitable support, and systems that help all students thrive. Our Rogers crew includes incredibly dedicated teachers, support staff, and community partners who collaborate daily to meet the diverse needs of our learners. Together, we are committed to building a positive school culture where every student belongs and every voice matters.

The elementary years are an amazing time of growth, exploration, and joy. Whether your child is just beginning their journey in transitional kindergarten or preparing to move on from sixth grade, we are here to ensure they feel empowered, capable, and cared for each step of the way.

We believe that strong schools are built on strong partnerships. I encourage you to stay connected with us through our weekly Pirate Newsletter, classroom updates, and community events like Coffee with the Principal and Friday Pirate Crew Council assemblies.

As we chart our course through the school year, I ask all members of our Rogers community to embrace the following norms that help keep our crew strong:

  • Assume Positive Intentions – Our staff is here because we care deeply about children and their success. Let’s approach conversations with empathy and openness.
  • Seek Solutions Together – When concerns arise, begin with your child’s teacher and let’s partner together to find meaningful, student-centered solutions.
  • Stay Engaged – Whether it's attending school events, reinforcing learning at home, or simply asking your child how their day went—your presence matters.

Every school year is a chance for new adventures, bold discoveries, and growing together as one crew. I am incredibly excited for all we will accomplish, and I thank you for being part of our journey.

Go Pirates!

Mr. Andy Falconer
